Cranleigh Common Volunteer Opportunities

Jan 11, 2018 | Posted by Martin | News |

Cranleigh in Bloom is pleased to support the Waverley Borough Council Countryside Rangers during their winter programme on Cranleigh Common.

Our volunteers assisted this morning with the creation of habitat log piles with wildflower blocks around the Eastern pond. This is designed to improve the habitat for amphibians.

There was also some coppicing around the banks of the pond to reduce shading.

Further volunteer sessions will take place from 10am to 3pm on Thursday 18th January 2018 at the Cricket club pond (on the junction of Horseshoe Lane) and on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 at the Western pond (on the Guildford Road).

If you would like to volunteer to help at either of these work parties, please email chairman@cranleighinbloom.net and we will pass along your details to the Countryside Rangers.
